On 15 July, Agrupamento de Escolas Francisco Simões (AEFS) hosted a Seminar with Workshop as part of the CAGEA Multiplier Event, bringing together teachers and staff to explore the outcomes of the project Career Guidance for an Empowered and Active Generation (2024-1-PT01-KA220-SCH-000244779).
During the session, the CAGEA project was presented in detail, covering:
- Project objectives — student-centred guidance, innovative resources for schools and families, inclusion and equal opportunities, and shared digital, personal and social skills across European partners.
- The international partnership — 7 partner institutions from 5 European countries, including AEFS, working together to bring diverse educational perspectives into the project.
- From research to resources — the Career Guidance Handbook, short “learning nuggets” videos, and the project’s digital platform (platform.cagea-project.eu), which organises all materials for students, teachers and families.
- Testing and refinement — how piloting, feedback and translation work have shaped the project’s resources to better meet schools’ real needs.
- Challenges and lessons learn, from coordinating across languages and countries to adapting timelines around funding.
- AEFS’s own contribution to CAGEA, and the expected impact for students, teachers, the school and the wider community.
The workshop gave participants the chance to reflect on how career guidance, inclusion and pedagogical innovation come together in practice, and how the tools developed through CAGEA can be integrated into everyday educational work.
As the project moves forward, CAGEA continues to build cooperation that produces resources, guidance that opens up possibilities, and inclusion that builds the future.
